After graduation, he spent three years working as a research assistant in the Schroeder lab, synthesizing nematode-derived secondary metabolites. Afterwards, he spent one year with Dr.
Ralf Sommer at the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in Germany studying the natural variation of small molecule biosynthesis in nematodes. In the Bogyo lab, Josh is interested in using chemical probes to image and study mechanisms of host-pathogen interactions.
